JOHN R. (RANDY) UNDERWOOD, Ph.D

John R. (Randy) Underwood has over twenty five years of natural gas industry experience. He been a consultant since 1993 specializing in pipeline and distribution rates, project analysis, depreciation analysis, acquisition analysis, due diligence, pipeline and processing economics, gas supply planning, basin analysis, country risk analysis and macroeconomic analysis, market development, pipeline and distribution regulation (US and International), project development, contract compliance auditing, back office auditing and set-up, natural gas marketing and hedging, and bankruptcy litigation. He provides support during litigation and settlement negotiations, including expert testimony.

Dr. Underwood has provided consulting services in countries that include the United States, Canada, Mexico, Trinidad, EEC, Norway, Argentina, Bangladesh and India.

Prior to entering consulting, Dr. Underwood was employed by Tenneco Gas in a variety of managerial positions including all aspects of planning and business development, gas reserves, and rates. Prior to that he was employed by Texas Eastern Corporation in the rates department. He is a former college professor of mathematics, editor of computer trade publication, and performed R&D for the US Army Missile Command. He has a B.A. in Philosophy and a Ph.D. in Mathematics.
